A horse is a horse, of course, of course, and is still just a horse, of course, no matter how long he is supposed, that is, to have been buried in permafrost of the earth, of course, even if he’s the famous little colt.

Actually, it does.
You are intelligent enough to be a conservative, so you owe the gene pool as many offspring as you can manage.
BTW, due to mortality, replacement level is three children per couple. Two is losing ground.

I find the whole thing fascinating.
The article states the foal was 98cm at the shoulder which I think is 36 inches.
Also states they believe it to be equus lambei which was only 4 foot tall.
“Based on the fossil records discovered in the Yukon, Equus lambei is believed to have been a small, slender, caballoid horse (about four ft tall), with a broad skull and a relatively long protocones”
Also states they believe the foal is approx. 2mos old. I’ve raised a lot of foals and I think it’s younger than that.
It will be really interesting to see what DNA says.

I don’t know. Wikipedia says the Mongolian horse is 48 to 56 inches tall. That still makes this foal pretty tall for the breed. Now that’s jmo, I’m no scientist at all.

The foal was 3 ft tall, and an adult is only 4 foot tall?.........
