“A foot or so” is normal shore erosion, not to be confused with sea level “rising”.
Democrats are lying scum.
Isn't that a Bon Jovi song?
So you're saying Bon Jovi got the lyrics from the inside of a paper matchbook cover???
“internet cables will be underwater in 15 years, and it’s too late to stop it”
Idiots! Even IF it were true, which it isn’t, there would be nothing “puny” insignificant hu-mans could do about it.
This Moron even admits it!
“Even if we all stop driving cars and burning natural gas right now, it really wouldn’t make a difference ...”
Also note that now even clean burning natural gas is our enemy. They are constantly moving the goalposts.
“...Even if we all stop driving cars and burning natural gas...”
As if we would even consider such a radical idea. But wait... THEY DO!
These “Progressives” (I just saw “Death of a Nation”) are a CANCER on our society. They must be repudiated, mocked, discredited, removed from power (of any kind), by any and every means possible.
This is WAR! WAKE UP AMERICA! The time to fight back is NOW!
They (Progressives) are literally OUT OF THEIR MINDS.
We’re all gonna die!
3 inches per 25 years = 12 inched per century.
In other words, the study is based on speculation and not on extrapolation of current trends.
Is there any validated study that shows a change in sea levels that can be attributed to climate?
I remember reading one study that supposedly showed proof positive that the sea level had risen. The researchers had measured the sea level on an island and compared it to the sea level a decade or so previously. Their conclusion was that the sea level had risen, but the details showed that the sea level they measured was actually lower than the previous measurement. They had used various factors to "correct" the level to come up with the conclusion that the sea level was actually higher. In addition to the "correction," there were other glaring flaws in the study. For example, on an island where the highest point is hundreds of meters above sea level, they claimed to be able to measure precisely a change of a couple of centimeters. I would argue that such a precise measurement is impossible. But this study was published in Science because, after all, it finally demonstrated that global warming is real and having effects.
With Global Warming the operative word is always “could”.
As in, give us your money and freedom or something bad “could” happen.
Almost sounds like the Mafia.
Here is a link to the actual paper.

They are claiming a one foot rise in sea level in the next 15 years, which is the *most extreme* prediction from from the Digital Coast project, which is managed by NOAAs Office for Coastal Management.
Then they claim that a one foot rise will put 20-25 percent of Internet cables in NYC under water at a normal day at high tide.
So, their prognosis rests on two unlikely claims.
First, that ocean levels will rise a foot in 15 years.
Second, that 20-25 percent of current Internet cables in New York City are within one foot of high tide levels on a normal day.
I do believe you cracked some sort of code.
“Isn’t that a Bon Jovi song?”
Not sure but didn’t Steve Miller tell us “everythings better when wet”?
They can’t tell me accurately if it will rain next Tuesday but
can be so accurate 15-, 25- or 50-years from now.

They will be retired or dead by that point and hope you won’t be asking for a refund on their doomsday prophecy.

Could someone tell jerry browneye that if he quits letting the Delta water dump into the ocean it won’t rise any more! This is all jerry browneye’s fault!
Good thing it never rains in NY or people would be without Internet service right now.
The Accuweather app on my phone said it was going to rain in 19 minutes..... an hour ago. The sun is still shining.
