The mainstream media has made a celebrity out of abortion activist Cecile Richards.
The former CEO of Planned Parenthood, Richards made nearly $1 million a year running the largest abortion business in America. She recently resigned after 10 years, but her abortion advocacy continues.
Hopeful pro-abortion supporters speculated that Richards might run for office after she announced her plans to leave Planned Parenthood last year.
But Richards recently told Bustle that is not one of her goals.
She said she wants to focus on supporting pro-abortion candidates and encouraging women to vote, rather than run for office herself.
“Just as we need more folks who believe in women and support women in office, we also need people on the outside organizing and agitating and making trouble to make sure that the people who are in office can do the right thing,” she said.
Richards continued:
“In a funny way, because my mom was governor of Texas and because I’ve always been active in issues of civil rights and women’s rights, one of the unspoken things was, ‘Well, I should run for office.’ Folks want to put you in a box. They want to pigeonhole you. Now that I’ve left Planned Parenthood, that’s the question most people ask me, as if running for office would be the highest calling. For a lot of people it is, and that’s great. But one of the things I’ve rebelled against was ever doing that. …
“I am completely focused now on getting more women to vote, on supporting women who are running for office. If we begin to change the electorate, if we begin to change who’s representing us, if the government looked more like the people it represented, then that’s a very worthwhile job to do.”

By women, Richards meant liberal, pro-abortion women like U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, who her daughter works for and whose name is being tossed around as a potential Democratic presidential candidate in 2020. Harris is the California attorney general who went after David Daleiden for exposing Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts harvesting trade.
Richards has made it clear that she believes women’s ability to abort their unborn babies for any reason up to birth is an essential right.
“If you can’t control your own body, you are not free,” Richards told the Daily Show in March. “That is a fundamental issue, and I don’t think we can like make any bones about that.”
Though not longer at Planned Parenthood, she continues to promote that same anti-woman, anti-child agenda that has led to the legalized killing of nearly 1 million unborn babies a year.
It’s for the children.

Doubt it. Money seems to be the motivator. From Ireland to Argentina go to the U.S. abortion proponents are becoming rabid. Why can they not just sterilize themselves?!

She won’t run because she would get trounced in any election.
As disgusting and reprehensible as she is there is nothing on this earth that we could do to her that would be one millionth of a fraction of what the Heavenly Father will do to her.
