"A decision made by a police officer in a split second can determine whether someone lives or dies."
"The video shot from the dashboard of a state police cruiser shows Seiple trying to arrest Clary for driving under the influence. Clary breaks away and the troopers spend about a minute trying to subdue him until Clary dashes for his car and pulls out a gun."

Law enforcement are erring on the side of caution, especially when dealing with minorities because of the scrutiny brought on by the radical left. Knowing their actions are video taped they reverse the best practice of reactive policing and are overthinking what should be a tried and proven method of meeting resistance with superior and definitive force to subdue the subject instantaneously. By some miracle both officers are alive. Never should have reached that point.
Once the shooting began, it seems that the perp was much more efficient at using pistol than the cops were. Perhaps the cops should have spent more time at the range, and not waited so long to shoot the b—tard.
But don’t use a choke hold......../s
The most disturbing thing is how the two officers — one a hunking brute — could not subdue a relatively small perp.
This is why you should have a Billy club. Hardly ever need it but it could have prevented the shooting there.
I shoulda realized that when the perp drove away...he may not have been shot or wounded.
You are absolutely correct....I guess when the writer started a new paragraph...I made an assumption the subject was the perp. I thought it’s best to to continue the same paragraph when continuing to write on a particular subject. Thank you for pointing out my incorrect assumption.
Also, the author says that the officers make split second decisions which can dtermine if someone lives or dies...I got the false impression that the author meant “whether someone else” lives or dies. Either way a sloppy reading on my part.

Thanks.
Happy Freeping!

BINGO!!!
Since Obama’s BLM and the media, officers have been risking their lives by holding back, hesitating and not using the legal and necessary, up to and including deadly force when the situation requires. Many times resulting in severe injury to the officers and or a few times, their death.
For many decades PA had the biggest troopers in the country. Don’t know about now.
Do whatever the nice policeman sys, and do it quickly and with a smile.
You can always get a lawyer afterward, as long as you’re still alive.
???????????????????????????????????????????

A swift kick to the head with steel-toed shoes would have done the job nicely.
