No need to read the report in any detail. The four photos of the cracks were enough for me. I urge you to view them. Skip their commentary.
What I found interesting was that the photos of minor cracks we were shown about six months ago were taken before the bridge section was moved into position. News reports at the time made no mention of when they were taken. We were misled.
The four pics in this recent report, taken after the move, are quite alarming. That traffic was allowed to resume with such large faults in critical areas is criminal, in my opinion.
I agree, if I were on that job those cracks would have scared the crap out of me.

i saw them a couple of days after the bridge collapsed when they were first published. Apparently still no official word as to whether or how significant the cracks were to the bridge collapse ... the cracks are external evidence of something going on inside the bridge structure ... but no one has yet said what that was ...
