Trump’s star could be voted off Walk of Fame

The West Hollywood City Council is reportedly planning a vote to remove President Trump’s star from the Walk of Fame.
In the resolution, which will be voted on Monday night, West Hollywood Mayor Pro Tem John D’Amico and Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath urge the city of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the marker, according to the Los Angeles Times.
“The City Council will consider adopting a resolution urging the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove President Donald J. Trump’s star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, due to his disturbing treatment of women and other actions that do not meet the shared values of the City of West Hollywood, the region, state, and country,” the resolution states.

The city council reminds me of a bunch of 3 year olds: “I’ma gonna take my ball and go home!” Do you actually think Trump will lose any sleep over whether you remove his star, sleep with his star, defecate on his star, or pour Jello over it? This vote by the city of West Hollywood is symbolic only. The Hollywood walk of fame is in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles. This vote is only another way for liberals to express angst and Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Lots of virtue signaling, as one of the criteria mentioned is Trump’s opposition to global warming.
Why antifa is allowed to break laws and engage in third world tactics...in my view antifa is terrorism, it's no wonder they cover their faces, they are common criminals who should be arrested, thrown in jail until such time as they go to trial.
America seems full of illiterates no matter whether they have a high school education or a college education, they are silly and stupid, showing a great lack of intelligence. Thanks in part to 40 years of liberal teaching, throwing God out of our schools etc. is greatly to blame for the utter lack of conscience and responsibility...a generation of Americans going no where...what else explains the why a bitter segment in this nation, does not respect a duly elected president. The crime scene for eight years under Obama made a lot of people rich and a lot of people lawless.
The way I look at it is that all they are doing is helping Republicans win. Like you said, this stuff comes across as extremely childish, ever since he won they’ve been acting like toddlers going through a temper tantrum, stamping their feet. And it’s not just the Democrat voters acting like that, it’s also the politicians.
The fact is Hillary lost because she sat on her ass her entire campaign thinking she would easily win while Trump was out there 7 days a week busting his butt. Hard work bred success, bottom line, and she STILL will not take responsibility for that.
Try to imagine this scenario happening: After Hillary lost she went on national TV and said this:
“I give congratulations to my opponent Donald Trump, I made a mistake and did not work hard enough in my campaign. I listened to the polls and thought I would easily win, but you cannot take things for granted like that today. Hard work always comes out ahead of everything else and it was a good lesson for me and I hope a good example for the kids in this country; Work hard and you can be anything you want”
My God, if she said that, think about how much more respected she would have been. She would have also diffused the hostility in this country, and she probably could have had another opportunity to run and probably even win.
But no, she took and is still taking the route of a child. Blaming everything and everybody for her loss, creating this massive hostility, this fake investigation and THAT is why Hillary Clinton should never have been President.
It’s a done deal. The West Hollyweirdos city council voted the star off by a 4-0 vote tonight.

It's a toothless resolution. The city of West Hollywood has no say in what the city of Los Angeles does, or does not do, with its Hollywood Walk of Fame.
FYI: Hollywood, CA is not an incorporated city, but merely a designated neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles.

NY POST BY BRUCE GOLDING, Oct 15, 2017 Famed former Manhattan sex-crimes prosecutor Linda Fairstein worked as a consultant for Harvey Weinstein after he was accused of groping a model in his Tribeca office two years ago,according to a new report Sunday.
Fairstein helped set up a series of meetings between Weinstein’s lead defense lawyer and Martha Bashford, the head of the Sex Crimes Unit in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and a “close friend” of Fairstein’s, the New York Times reported.
Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr. later declined to prosecute Weinstein over the March 27, 2015, incident, and last week said his decision was “guided by the sex-crime team.”
Prosecutor Fairstein — a best-selling novelist who in 2007 wrote a Vanity Fair column about wanting to make a movie with Weinstein — defended her decision to work for the since-disgraced producer by vouching for defense lawyer Elkan Abramowitz.
“Calling Ms. Bashford to tell her who Elkan was and to ask her to consider meeting with him is the kind of thing I do four to six times every year,” she told the Times. The Times didn’t detail Fairstein’s consulting deal, but said the ex-prosecutor — celebrated for winning the conviction of “preppy killer” Robert Chambers in 1988 — didn’t believe the allegation against Weinstein. In a Monday email to The Post, Fairstein said she called Bashford at the request of Abramowitz, who she described as a “friend of 25 years,” and not Weinstein.
“I never received a fee from either,” she wrote. “I read documents and made an intro by phone.”
The Times’ report also revealed that an NYPD detective intervened during a secretly recorded encounter between accuser Ambra Batillana Gutierrez and Weinstein inside the Tribeca Grand Hotel, a day after she accused him of grabbing her breasts and trying to slip his hand up her skirt.
The plainclothes cop got worried when Weinstein “grew belligerent” while trying to coax Gutierrez, then 22, into a hotel room, the Times said, so he pretended to be a TMZ reporter seeking an interview with Weinstein. The maneuver reportedly led Weinstein to “retreat from the hallway” and let Gutierrez escape out a side door.The detective later identified himself to Weinstein, who agreed to go to a police station for questioning.
But Weinstein refused to answer any questions about Gutierrez’ groping allegations and instead asked for a lawyer, the Times said. NYPD officials who spoke to the Times on condition of anonymity denied a claim last week by Vance’s No. 2, Chief Assistant DA Karen Friedman-Agnifilo, who said: “The seasoned prosecutors in our Sex Crimes Unit were not afforded the opportunity before the meeting to counsel investigators on what was necessary to capture in order to prove a misdemeanor sex crime.”“Why would we not call about Harvey Weinstein?” a senior police official said. The same official said the recording — on which Weinstein apologized for touching Gutierrez and repeatedly promised he wouldn’t do it again — was enough evidence to charge him with misdemeanor sexual abuse.“He admitted, twice, doing it. That’s probable cause to make an arrest,” the official said.
Vance — who is running unopposed for a third term in November — told the Times that he discussed the case with Bashford and Friedman-Agnifilo at least three times before accepting Bashford’s recommendation to drop it. “I didn’t have any pushback on Martha’s opinion, mindful that Martha has greater expertise in sex crimes than I do,” he said. Bashford declined to comment, the Times said.

Trump’s star was removed when Twenty-four-year-old Austin Clay chopped it up with a pick ax. The vandal said he was motivated by the immigrant separation issue. Clay turned himself in to the police.
Kind of like taking an area with a lot of tenements and a few decent buildings and knocking down the decent structures to “purify” the area.....there goes the neighborhood.
How fascist of them. They think they are winning when they pull things like this. It just firms our resolve that the left is the enemy of liberty and America.
