9-year-old robbed (at gunpoint) at lemonade stand

A 9-year-old boy was robbed at his lemonade stand in Union County Saturday afternoon.

The Union County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to the entrance of St. John's Forest around 3 p.m.

Deputies say the boy was approached by a black male teen wearing a camouflague hat and black shirt. The teen allegedly stuck a black handgun to the boys stomach and demanded the money. The teen then fled on foot and the boy was not hurt.

Deputies searched the area and found a trail in the woods nearby where the hat, black BB handgun, and a metal tin that contained the cash was found. Deputies believe the suspect left a bicycle and walked from there to the lemonade stand before the robbery.

If anyone has any information you're asked to call Union County Crime Stoppers.

You can't get much lower than robbing a child at a lemonade stand.

Sad situation.

Lemonade stands used to be a safe and happy place.

Now, adult supervision and, possibly, armed supervision is required.

Which is why I wasn’t surprised that the attacker was Amish.

This story is bad. It even beats the one posted here the other day where a government thug used a clipboard and her authori-tah to shut down a child’s lemonade stand because the kid didn’t raid his piggy bank to fork over for a permit.

Thuggery is everywhere it seems. It is very depressing.

The neighbor’s kids had a stand up a couple of weeks ago

I think they made a little. Me and my wife bought some.

Sigh.

Just this weekend, on a hot, sunny day, driving the rural roads of northern Vermont, with beautiful green fields spotted with silos and cows, and wildflowers lining the roads, my wife and I saw two little girls selling lemonade at a little stand they made.

They were in a pretty out of the way place, and I am sure they didn’t have many cars passing, so when they did, those two girls gave it everything they had, jumping up and down, yelling...

Well, we have a rule. Never pass a kid’s lemonade stand without stopping...so we did...a dollar a cup and worth every penny for that lukewarm yellow brew of theirs!

Those two girls will look back later in life, and remember that hot July day in 2018 when they were seven years old, best friends for life...their entire lives in front of them...passing the boring days of summer selling lemonade on a back road in Vermont somewhere. One of the best times of their lives, and they don’t know it yet.

Makes me smile right now just thing of it.

And then there is this. Scum. How could someone be so low?

Sigh.

One of the reasons I like FR, but...this isn’t really the place for that kind of thing, generally...

I was having a somewhat strenuous disagreement with someone, and he said “Yeah. You’re the guy who writes really long posts.” and I thought “Hell, that can’t be a good thing to be known for around these parts!”

I am too old to change. I text now, and there is no way I can’t text with shortcuts...I can’t type “BRB”, I have to type out “Be right back!”

I have always liked writing, but nobody reads!

Too bad no CC was around to pump a round or three into the thug.

Oh, he'll get much lower before he's done.

And by the way...Vermont is indeed filled with lots of hippies and moonbats, but that state, if you have never been there, is breathtakingly beautiful.

My wife and I enjoy just going for rides, and we were on vacation, and...that was a day we just went for a long ride, two hours this way, two hours that way, going down roads we never went down before, if we saw something cool (Like a round church built in 1812!). we just...stop.

I have a stressful job, but I’ll tell you, sun was shining down, we had all the windows and the moon roof wide open, just going down roads at 35 mph because we could take in better even though the speed limit was 50, but there were no cars!

What a time to be alive...how lucky a man I am!
