Its really truly happening: Patrick Stewart has been cast in a new Star Trek series.
Stewart will reprise his iconic character, Jean-Luc Picard, for a CBS All Access series that will tell the story of the next chapter of Picards life.
Stewart himself just announced the news in a surprise appearance at the Las Vegas Star Trek Convention.
I will always be very proud to have been a part of Star Trek: The Next Generation, but when we wrapped that final movie in the spring of 2002, I truly felt my time with Star Trek had run its natural course, Stewart said. It is, therefore, an unexpected but delightful surprise to find myself excited and invigorated to be returning to Jean-Luc Picard and to explore new dimensions within him. Seeking out new life for him, when I thought that life was over.
Stewart added that now, in particular, seems like a good time to bring back the character, who exemplified calm, moral, reasoned leadership. During these past years, it has been humbling to hear many stories about how The Next Generation brought people comfort, saw them through difficult periods in their lives or how the example of Jean-Luc inspired so many to follow in his footsteps, pursuing science, exploration and leadership, he said. I feel Im ready to return to him for the same reason to research and experience what comforting and reforming light he might shine on these often very dark times. I look forward to working with our brilliant creative team as we endeavor to bring a fresh, unexpected and pertinent story to life once more.
Hell with Patty.
Actor Patrick Stewart applying for US citizenship to fight Trump
Seems to me to be a fairly legit reason to not only deny citizenship, but to revoke his visa.
Star Trek XXIV: The Nursing Home
Trekkies will get the paraphrase...
Next week on Star Trek: Assisted Living Dr. Crusher beams down to visit but her walker gets caught in the transporter coil and she wanders off confused creating a security alert.
Star Trek: NCIS - SVU
Sounds like a huge hit!
He has a great character on American Dad, great voice actor.
He should marry the redhead doctor Gates McFadden played.
Balding is genetic not a disease.
The timeline had laws against genetic engineering so ... thats why Giordi ran around with a silver painted banana clip for vision. And why Picards dome remained hairless.

Star Trek: The Geriatric Wars
Star Trek: Where’s the $&@!# Keys to the Enterprise?
Some writer subtlely getting back at Wheaton with that line. :)
Star Trek: Irritable Bowel Syndrome
This. This does not make me happy.
Balok?
Heck, Tribbles would bite him in the ‘nads.
:-)
In the season finale for Star Trek: Assisted Living applesauce is served at dinner, the transport with the resupply of Depends is delayed and LaForge screams a core breach is imminent in the cliffhanger.
I think they should hire you!
He would be Admiral Picard by now?
"The Captain had 4 servings of applesauce at dinner, the transport with resupply of Depends won't be here for at least 9 hours and we have a major breach in progress!!!!"
