They’re ugly brutes, but magnificent in their own way.
It is precisely situations like this for which the saying "F- with the bull and you get the horn" applies.
He was a big boy....the thing you have to watch out for with buffalo you may think there is only one and in a few seconds there could be ten or more behind him...
The guy was a fool....
Is this a traffic jam in Yosemite?
“...you may think there is only one and in a few seconds there could be ten or more behind him....”
Sounds just like back when I was growing up in North Philly...
We were camping at a Yellowstone campground when a bison decided to take its morning stroll through it when everyone was still there. We just remained very still and let it go where it wanted and it passed through. Upclose, those things are huge. You would not want to mess with one.
Yes they are. You ought to see elk up close once too; had the opportunity once in central Pennsylvania, video cam in hand - awesome creatures ... I took the hint when the bull elk snorted, stomped and mock-charged me after following them for two miles in the forest.
Headline says “Yellowstone.”
this is why I will not go to Yellowstone until the fall where the crowds are a little more intelligent....
this guy in the blue shirt and the little tiny shorts should be arrested, charged, and forbidden to enter the National Parks for 2 yrs minimum....
and I love the animals....we need to respect them in their territory....if this idiot wanted a petty zoo that’s where he should go....
I hear the buffalo are even worse there now. :)
In these instances of brain dead idiot people I always think this would be a neat outcome. Minding their own business, really cool Animals: ONE.........dumbass worthless gomer humans: ZERO!
Idiot liberal
Teddy Roosevelt brought them back from the verge of extinction.
If you ever want a seriously good read, look thru “The Buffalo Harvest” by Frank H. Mann.
https://www.pbs.org/weta/thewest/resources/archives/five/buffalo.htm
In a little less than ten years’ time (1870s time frame), they’d gone from covering the Plains to nearly gone.
This gentleman lived through it, and details it very well.
A good read.
What’s UP Dawg Pound Brother Bob!!!!! Been a while!
WOOF!!!
Hope all is well with you and yours, my friend!!!!
Yosemite doesn't have bison. Besides Yosemite is closed right now due to the Ferguson Fire.
Desperately seeking a painful death.
