A black woman says she had the police called on her by a female while she was sheltering from a thunderstorm in the doorway of a Brooklyn apartment building.
Darsell Obregon filmed her encounter with the woman in the wealthy Park Slope neighborhood and posted the footage on Facebook last week.
Obregon said she was on her way to a subway station when the rain started and sought cover in a small space outside the apartment building while she called an Uber.
She claims the woman, identified as Arabella Juniper Torres, came out of the building and demanded that she leave.

Torres must be another one of those white Hispanics.
More accurate headline: “Two Non-white Women Get into Altercation”.
Hmmm. Apparently not wealthy enough to have a doorman.
“unbeknownst to her I was just waiting for my ride and would be leaving in a couple of minutes”...This is a common theme in these ‘racial bias viral videos’. The alleged victims suddenly become mutes, unwilling to explain their presence on private property...and absolutely hoping that their strange behavior gets a reaction from somebody.
Supposedly she is friends with the mayor’s son. This could get interesting.
But when the lady's ride comes, and she's leaving, the offended one says she can't leave.
IOW, you can't stand here but you can't leave either?
The offended one can't have it both ways.
Make you up mind, offended one. Which is it?
The lady in the doorway is very white. The white lady with the Hispanic name is clearly not white.
Media doesn’t care, it fits the narrative.
Will NFL players will kneel for this injustice?
This is what passes for news worthy?
Who cares? Never mind.
they both looked white to me. Not blondes obviously, but i wouldn’t have taken the “offender” to be black.
Nothing racist here. The paper turns it into something racist.
Wealthy people are suspicious of anyone they think doesn’t look like they “belong” in their area. I once got lost in an area of mansions...it was a very confusing area where streets wound around leading you into dead ends, I was just trying to find my way out of there and back to the main street. I stopped and asked for directions of a couple of people who were obviously workers, not residents. I did not bother anyone, never even got out of the car- didn’t pull into any driveways. The police stopped and questioned me before I could get out of there, they said they had no less than 5 calls.
I understand their thinking, it is part of what keeps them safe. At the same time if you are not doing anything wrong it is annoying for them to call police on you. I doubt this was about race- it happened to me and I am a white blond, I wasn’t even driving a junker car- but not one that fit in there.
