I tried a win7 box five years ago. I hate that machine. My desktop is still the 15 year old XP.

I have an XP virtual machine (VM), and so restoring it is just a single file copy. I'm pretty much done installing Windows on the metal any more.

Loved XP when I had it, but employer upgraded to 7 and I adapted.
Went and bought a new laptop of my own with 7 before they became hard to find.

I sure wish I still had my XP!!!
Worst thing I did was upgrade to Win7 and then on to 10!!

Would like to know what you do about securing XP. But I’m with you on XP being the best. I have a hard drive that is a tri-boot with XP, 7 & 10, though I use 7 99% of the time.
