Fantasy Island is coming to the big screen.
Blumhouse and Sony will co-finance and co-produce a feature based on the popular ABC TV series about a magical, wish-fulfilling island that would attract travelers hoping to live out their wildest fantasies.
Jeff Wadlow, who worked with Blumhouse on the recent release Truth or Dare, is attached to direct from a script he is writing with Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs. Wadlow also will executive produce along with Blumhouses Couper Samuelson. Ryan Turek will oversee for Blumhouse and Matt Milam will oversee for Sony.
Wadlow, who also directed Kick Ass 2, is repped by UTA, Artists First and Hirsch Wallerstein
His next big idea will be making The Love Boat into a movie.
What career pegs these will be for him.
Any “remake” is doomed to be full of liberal PC, depravity, LGBTQYZ, BLM and hate whitey. No thanks.
Oh yeah. Exactly right. Ratings gold! Heh heh.
What they aught to make is a movie about Hervé Villechaize and why he committed suicide.
Saw a show called The Millionaire about a “host” who would give a million dollars each episode to someone and the complications they encountered trying to live out their fantasy.
Not much different than FI but it was from decades earlier and just focused on one story each episode.

Didn’t Bill Clinton make numerous trips to Jeffrey Epstein’s fantasy island?
I’m familiar.... guy used to show up with an envelope....
He may have made plenty of anonymous donations to the Clinton Foundation!
Is it going to be about “The Lolita Express” and Bill Clinton?
My version of 'Fantasy Island': Satanicwood goes bankrupt because of trashy movies and liberal morons who drove Americans away from movies, TV and cable...
A shlock TV show is gonna make a great movie. Just look at the success of Baywatch and Hawaii 5-0. Gotta give Hollywood credit for thinking big ... and originally.
Me too. Agreed it’s a terrible idea.
They’ll destroy that just like they’ve destroyed every other classic TV show you used to watch.
The Equalizer. Black? American? From Boston?
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
LOL
See the story of Madlyn Rhue and Murder She Wrote.
-PJ
And Hollywood Squares before that ...
LOL
HBO is making a movie about him. Not sure if it will cover his suicide though.

I am sure that is true, But many if them just wanted some work and to keep busy. Fantasy Island and The Love Boat, and Love American Style were the venues where you saw most of these actors.
