I always got the impression that at some point, Brynner began to believe he really was King Mongkut.

... or he really, really liked the costumes ...

... and the poses ...

Doctors aren't calling my condition Parkinsons—yet. But I have four of the five symptoms. Meds are keeping it at bay.

As for MASH, as soon as Alda opened his mouth, you could count on an anti-American snarkfest.

Even the premise of the show was A TENT showing Americans enduring pain from their injuries.

I put MASH in the same Hollywood trash-bin as a show with Americans in a German POW camp. There's no comedy in WWII or Korea.

You’re probably right but he did emulate the post-Vietnam anti-everything military and America during that period. By today’s standards he was an old schol Lib., you’re right. We were so cynical...

‘tis true; a few bad apples.....

Another very genuine person is Dan Aykroyd; very approachable and kind.

Charles Kuralt was delightful, as was Max Showalter and Debbie Reynolds.

Morley Safer, not so much...he always seemed to have a stick up his butt.

Got on an elevator [Manhatten] and Mic Jagger was in there. Felt like I was boxed in with a corpse. :)
