Commentator John Oliver recently conducted an extended interview with Brandeis University professor Anita Hill, which aired on the latest episode of Last Week Tonight. Sundays show focused on sexual harassment in the workplace, and whether society has made progress in confronting it.
Oliver said that many of the same things being said now were said in the early 1990s, when notable sexual harassment cases, including one involving Hill, captivated the public.
Hill accused her former boss, Clarence Thomas, of continued sexual harassment and testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in October 1991, after Thomas had been nominated to serve on the Supreme Court. The Senate approved Thomass nomination by a 52-48 vote.
Ive had my life turned upside down, said Hill, referring to life after her testimony on Capitol Hill. Ten minutes of Olivers interview with Hill aired on Sundays show. Hill said men cant play a passive role if they witness sexual harassment. We need you to step up. At this point in time, there are no innocent bystanders. Other thoughts from Hill: ■On women falsely accusing men of sexual harassment: Hill said false accusations are not widespread. We dont need to make rules around the things that rarely happen until we finish up making the rules around the things that are happening regularly. ■On her 1991 testimony and senators line of questioning: Much of what I heard that day was familiar in tone. The questions were different, but the tone was really something that was all too familiar.

Seems to “She did it all to herself”.....why blame someone like obama???
I didnt believe her at the time and I still dont believe her.
The truth is she was a very poor attorney. Thomas tried to mentor her and she followed him into government. She saw him as a good catch for money and prestige. And then he went and married a red haired white woman.
Her testimony was all about getting even for being put aside for another woman.
Well, isn't she quite the little clairvoyant?
Ask her who will win the World Series.
Just finished Clarence Thomas’s autobiography. She was a nut.
The Left trots her out on a regular basis. A Woman Scorned. I’m not buying what she’s selling.
She allowed herself to be a pawn in the failed Borking of Clarence Thomas. The Dems were not going to have a Black man in the opposition. The Plantation would not have any escapees.
Hill’s ballyhooed pubic hair on a coke can...left one to wonder if she looked at that hair under a microscope to determine its origin? How else could she be so specific? Identity politics from a willing woman to smear a good man along with a culpable media.
John Oliver is such a joke. I laugh every time I see him.
“Do it! Just do it! Look at me - just do it! I will personally write you a campaign check...”
What a turkey.
lol.

Murder is rare, but there are rules against it.
Anita Hill let the cat out of the bag during her Kangaroo Kourt appearance.
She explicitly said she did not know why she was there, she recalled some stories about Clarence Thomas saying there was a ‘pubic hair’ on his can of Coke, next thing you know she’s up in front of Congress
She’s past her recall date.
Wait - I thought the rules were that were not supposed to care about distant history and people have grown and moved on - like james Gunn...
Oh wait I forgot that only applies to Democrats...
I like how they drum up fake news (Hills accusations were never substantiated and Thomas denied them) 30 years later and then act as if it was all true and needs to be reaffirmed and retried.
Lies built on lies...
Waiting for John Oliver to interview the family of those who lost loved ones at Benghazi and how Democrats feckless foreign policy continues to allow these things to happen again.
My take:
She was asked on a job application why she left her last job (with Thomas). She made up an answer, “sexual harassment” at a time when that would gain sympathy.
When Thomas was nominated, the press went into overdrive to find any dirt on him they could. they found an ex employee that said he harassed her. So they approached he to tell her story. She refused, because at the end of the day, it was a complete fabrication. They told her that they would break the story with or without her. So she was in.
Problem was, there were no other women, which, if it were true, would make no sense.
Just my theory.
They
She is a horrible, lying leftist. I never believe leftists. They lie and convince themselves through cognitive dissidence that somehow, they are doing what is right.
Leftists really are horrible people.
JoMa
Let’s not forget she came forward with the condition that she would remain anonymous.
She did so then that plan got blown to hell and the world got the opportunity to met her.
RUSH: All right, take yourself back in time, the Clarence Thomas-Anita Hill hearings in that Senate hearing room, and imagine, if you will, a middle-aged woman trying to look like shes Mary Travers, of Peter, Paul and Mary, whitish blond hair, part in the middle, some bangs over the forehead, sitting as erect as if somebody stuck a pole down her mouth and nothing moves when she speaks. And of course these senators are asking her questions, and when it came time to describe the virtues of Anita Hill, Judge Susan Hoerchner said something along these lines: (doing impression) Senator, Senator, I have to say that Anita is so pure, Senator, Senator, Anita Hill has never had a bowel movement. She has never soiled a toilet in her life, thats how clean and pure, Senator, Anita Hill is. Now, she didnt actually say that, but she was close. (laughing) She smacked her lips at times, yeah, and Cookie right now is trying to track down actual audio of Susan Hoerchner and we may have it, and we can compare my impression of Judge Hoerchner with how she really speaks.
Next up. John Oliver will interview Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey and Paula Jones. Oh wait. . . .
She is batcrap crazy IMO. Makes other women who actually were attacked not even want to come forward.
