I could not read the article w/o disabling my Ad Blocker.
In California, we have Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services. In the Northern Bay, we have Golden Gate Regional Center, that will appoint advocates for elderly or disabled adults. Why was no one checking on this young woman?
The article says she was getting benefit checks. That sounds like SSI. I suppose it can happen, where someone is completely overlooked. The horrible family members probably pretended to be her caregivers, and nobody ever challenged them on it. No body ever asked if they were really qualified to care for her. Did anyone ever interview this young woman alone and ask her how she felt about things? Or were those Quarterly Reports faked too? Sad!!
Appears to clearly be a case of demon possession. Exorcism capsules should be immediately administered at 1300+fps to clear the problem.
My first thought when reading the headline (after being appalled) was “What are the Amites? Are they some kind of weird religious around - a cross between Amish and Mennonites?”
A further read into the article cleared that up for me.
Well, I had to look up what kind of cult the Amites are. Evidently, Amite is the name of a town in Louisiana.
