I noticed a few years ago that whenever I searched for an item to buy, suddenly, for a few days, I was getting tons of ads on FaceBook for the very item I’d already purchased.

It’s kinda funny, but I’ve NEVER clicked on an ad in Facebook. Ever. And, frankly, if I am going to buy an item online it is almost always either Amazon or Costco. I used to use a lot of different internet entities, but they all are available through Amazon (even parts for my 1960 John Deere Tractor) and shipping is free. So’s Costco.

Ads have always been useless to me. But that’s just me.

They, FB, surreptitiously scan your computer for cookies, search terms and visitation logs while you are on FB.

They sell this info to advertisers.

The advertisers then target you with ads for stuff they think you want.

Quit FB if you do not want them to do this.

It’s in their user agreement.................
