I used to use Necco wafers for targets about 45 years ago. I had some very old railroad ties that had lots of lengthwise cracks in them. The Necco wafers fit in the cracks perfectly. They shattered real nice when I hit them with a .22. They were cheap since they did not taste good enough to eat.

Never noticed it, but not surprising. Rock-ola jukeboxes and Williams Mfg. which made pinball machines and other electronic games were made in Chicago after WWII.

Video gambling machines were allowed in businesses in Illinois a few years back. They are all over the place now.
