Victor Harry "Vic" Morrow (February 14, 1929 - July 23, 1982) was an American actor whose credits include a starring role in the 1960s TV series Combat! as Sgt. "Chip" Saunders. He and two children died when a stunt helicopter crashed on them during the filming of Twilight Zone: The Movie.

He played the heel of a coach in Bad News Bears so well, even before out-of-control parent-coach was even a thing.

I watched “Combat” most every week.

What an Awesome show..... Saunders, Cage, Kirby, and the B.A.R.

Got to meet Vic Morrow when he ate lunch in our mess hall in

Quang Tri.We all talked about the Combat show with him.

One of the grunts invited him to join em on a patrol.

He laughed and said he was too out of shape and too dam old.

Really hated the terrible way he died.

His death was incredibly gruesome and is on tape. Not for the faint of heart.

Watching Combat right now on YouTube.

My favorite show as a kid. We all wanted to be SGT Saunders and carry that Thompson.
