Everybody should do that. (Everybody who finds himself in such an area against his will.) Whip out a regular straw, rubber-band a big laminated label the size of a credit card to it, and become a living Editorial Cartoon.
HO-GAAANNN!
What is finally going to make America do to California vacations what has happened with NFL tickets?
also company cafeterias, per other threads today
California State should ban ALL petroleum derived plastic. That would be good for the environment. yeah. Once the success of that act is demonstrated California can go on to ban all petroleum derived products.

Won’t happen——people love to visit California.
.
Exactly. 47 of the rest of the states are pretty easy to get to by car. Here are a few ideas, folks:
Highlights of my sightseeing the past year or so:
Pennsylvania -- PA Dutch Country
Ohio -- Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland
Virginia, West Virginia -- caves
Alabama -- USS Alabama
Florida -- St. Petersburg Gator Preserve
Tennessee -- country dancing, Country Music Hall of Fame, Nashville
Arizona -- Giant Meteor Crater
Oklahoma -- US Banjo Museum
Can we now say... when plastic straws are outlawed, only outlaws will have plastic straws?

BAN petroleum based products!!
Gasoline, Jet Fuel, tires, plastics, butane, propane, and on and on. And while they are at it, ban refineries, chemical plants, and plastics plants. That would do a world of good to save the planet.
If the products are banned so are the producers of those products. I would love to see California truly attempt to live totally without petroleum.
