One of the men on the card was still alive, and confirmed Bowers’ stories to Tyrnauer, too. All of this was in addition to the work a team of researchers did to fact check many of Bowers’ anecdotes.

Guess not. Sorry; I've just been under that impression for a long time.
I was shocked to find out that the guy who played Jimmy Olsen on the TV Superman series in the 50s was a homo and he had a tryst with Montgomery Clift, who I had heard was homo years ago. But since then I’ve read about a slew of Hollywood actors, some still alive, who are queer. I guess it comes down to who ISN’T a queer in Hollywood.
