DEMI LOVATO HOSPITALIZED FOR APPARENT HEROIN OVERDOSE

Demi Lovato was rushed to an L.A. hospital after suffering what appears to be a heroin overdose ... law enforcement tells TMZ.

Our sources say Demi was transported from a home in the Hollywood Hills just before noon Tuesday, and is currently being treated. We do not know her condition.

Demi has fought substance abuse for years ... at one point she lived in a sober living home after getting released from a treatment center. She had been 6 years sober from alcohol, cocaine and Oxycontin.

Last month she released a song called "Sober" where she revealed she had fallen off the wagon.

Like Prince, she’ll keep trying until eventually she gets it right.

Sorry to hear that. Demi is one of the few younger singers who has done work that I like. She has some good songwriters and producers working with her.

Unfortunately an opiate addict who quits from some period of time then falls off the wagon will usually dose at the last known level of the drug, and without the body’s tolerance they easily overdose and often die.

I hope for her that it doesn’t end this way.

The Narcan situation. I'm conflicted. It saves druggies if they're tended to soon enough after an OD. But it's made druggies less fearful. Some folks around here say that overall it hasn't caused a decline in overdose deaths.

Maybe a fear of death and a reason to live are the only cures. (I ramble...)

I don’t know. I’m fortunate in having no personal or family experience with drug addiction. However, it is a characteristic of people that they adjust their behavior to compensate for reduced risks of foolish behavior. Your car has more safety features, so you drive faster and with less caution.

I always wondered who owned NARCAN and which one of obama pals they are. Notice NARCAN was given out heavly during obama regime? Notice how bad opiod addiction spread during obama regime?

Another commie goal achieved, gotta keep them high so they do not see what the gov is doing to them I am now against NARCAN given out to all drug addicts. If they OD, well so be it. They will OD and die at some point.

I think the ones who receive NARCAN the most are the homeless, homeless which is another left goal to make us a 3rd world nation. Saw a special on TV not so long ago. It said NARCAN given the most to homeless. They interviewed some of them. Most of them didn’t care about life anymore.
