Seven people were killed and 39 were wounded in weekend shootings across Chicago, doubling the number of people shot over the previous weekend.
Gun violence over the weekend, which began 5 p.m. Friday and ended 5 a.m. Monday, left one person shot Friday, 21 people shot Saturday, 16 on Sunday, and six people shot Monday morning.
A mass shooting Saturday night left one person dead and six others wounded on the West Side. About 9:40 p.m., seven men were gathered at a park bench in the 3100 block of West Fulton when several people approached them and opened fire, Chicago Police said.

This type of coverage is a form of racism by the media.
They don’t report this nationally, because this not only does not fit their template, it is “expected” from the black community in Chicago.

The media have really leaped on that phrase "Gun violence," haven't they? The real term is "Gang violence." Plenty of folks own guns in my home town, but no shootings, because we have no gangs.

Those once precious darlings are hardened criminals who not only prey upon them and their neighbors, they also do their darndest to recruit more of ther family into often much shorter lives of crime with them. Lives full of violence and depravity.
If their families “protect” them then they share responsibility in all the harm that they do. They are arguably paying the price even now. The people of Benjamin once protected their home grown over the top offenders too.
Revival would be infinitely preferable than turning against them and putting them down, that’s true; but, will we see enough Johnathan Edwardses or Prophets Nathan (”you are the man”) coming out of a community if every victimizer thinks they’re the victims?
Just think of the kill rate if these clowns knew how to shoot a gun correctly
