An 18-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl were killed and 13 other people injured on Sunday night when a gunman opened fire on a busy Toronto street.
The suspected shooter, a 29-year-old Toronto man, also died. Toronto police say he shot 15 people and exchanged gunfire with police before dying of a gunshot wound.
The exact circumstances of the man’s death are now being looked into by Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit.

Which reminds me of a joke—
During the troubles, an Irishman goes to confession:
“Bless me Father, for I have sinned, its been a week since my last confession. I blew up a train.”
“My son, you need to confess your sins, but not your politics. Now for your penance, I want you to go and do the Stations.”
The problem with Islam is that it wouldn’t be a joke.
This proves that hockey should be banned. It leads to violence. If not with sticks and skates by the players at the rink, then by crazed fans after a game.
You mean, they wouldn’t speak of it at confessions? Well, what sins would they confess?
The point of the “joke” is that the terrorist (rightly) views it as a sin and the priest (wrongly) views it as a legitimate political act and then ends up with a terrible pun—the Stations can refer to either the Stations of the Cross, which in days gone by would not have been an unusual penance for confession (it is a meditation on the Passion that ought to take 10-12 minutes) or to the train stations.
