I know this is going off on a tangent, but how can anybody be anything other than zero percent or one hundred percent Jewish?

I mean, did he convert to the faith? That makes him one hundred percent Jewish, right?

So he didn't convert? Then that would mean that he's Jewish by birthright because his mom was Jewish then? Which would make him one hundred percent Jewish, right?

Or maybe there's something I haven't learned about yet, which is very possible.

Frankly if I were Jewish I think I'd be inclined to uh, not know the guy.

Jews are an ethno-linguistic group, like Armenians. So a Jew can be both someone by genes a Jew or someone who converts (like Sammy Davis Junior)
