Recall that Godzilla was originally a protest against nuclear weapons.
Saw a documentary recently where the director of the first Godzilla movie incorporated his visits to Hiroshima into the original movie in describing the destruction and despair of the Japanese after Godzilla wiped out Tokyo.
I'd never thought about the fact that Godzilla was released in 1954....a mere nine years after Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

There will be lots of crys of environmentalist messages in this, which maybe there are BUT IT’S A MOVIE.
Same as Jurassic World, which I saw zero of. And that’s what bugs me about us convervatives. Some of us apparently need to take a chill pill and just ENJOY THE MOVIE.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

Oh sure. The big guy gets all the lime light. What about Rodan and Mothra? They’re waiting in the wings. Maybe they should have gotten better agents. I wonder who Godzilla’s peeps are?

Yup. Same here. Do you remember Claude Kirchner? He had a Saturday morning show where he would show The Stooges and Godzilla movies.

No. He and his wife had a kids show out of Philly. They also had a kids museum in downtown Philly called "The Please Touch Museum."

Oh man. Talk about how times have changed. Imagine having anything to do with kids today and a place called ‘’Please Touch’’? Leftists. Smear everyone with the same brush instead of the individual involved. And the madding irony of it all is these are the people pushing acceptance of all manner of deviancy on children. Say, do you remember Paul Winchell and his puppets “Jerry Mahoney’’ and “Knucklehead Smith’’?

Looks hideous. Superliberal message (Humans BAD! Cause EXTINCTION! Must be KILLED!) on a dreary, crappy landscape. Horrible camerawork, boring liberal plot.... shit, I won’t be inclined to even BitTorrent this pile of crap.

My favorite part was the three little women who spoke in unison. What did they call them?
The Chipmunks?

Netflix has a new series of Godzilla out in high def Anime format...each episode is 100 minutes long. Interesting premise...the Mothra twins were in episode 2 and the “egg” was mentioned(mothra). One of the “high priest” characters revealed to the main “hero” that it was “gidorah”(Gidra) that had destroyed his own home planet. The drawing and animation is really high quality and the sound is in Dolby 5.1 even via streaming through my Sony BR player.
