I have my suspicions about this but would love to be proven wrong. For one thing, I don't trust yournewswire.com. I've seen a lot of stuff there that is dubious. I made this same claim to a family member a few days ago and I think I'm going to have to regret it. I searched for other proof and ran across a discussion on reditt. One key point made by a poster was that the SEC does not investigate foundations such as the CF. His wife is indeed a director at the SEC but not so sure she is in a position to hold up any investigation that is claimed in this post.

You might want to research her position/title at the SEC. She is in charge of the investigative arm. And, if the IRS can be manipulated to target Tea Party filings, then the SEC can, likewise.
