Please see my post 10. Are you sure the Golden Retriever was out for blood or is there any possibility it was not? I am not questioning what you know about your incident. I was just SO sure the charging pit bull was going to attack and kill my German Shepherd, and when all was said and done, he just wanted to greet my dog and play with him.
Your situatation may have been completely different.
It was the most vicious dog I have ever seen in my life.
Bella lunged at Isis probably about 5 or 6 times, not false lunges but true lunges. Isis managed to dodge the attacks, but she also tied me up in her leash, so I could not respond.
Isis was so scared of this dog that she completely emptied her bowel on the dogs face as it pursued her. I didn’t even know this occurred until I got her home and noticed her rear end was covered in some horrible smelling matter.
The police told me the other dog was covered in it. Bella scared the sh*t out of Isis. Literally.
It wasn’t until I freed myself from the leash that I was able to respond and end the attack.
