It depends on the surrounding neighborhood how weird or normal Trader Joes is. They have got amazing yummy treats. Try non-salted pretzels with peanut butter inside. And dark chocolate peanut butter cups. And frozen Supreme Pizza. And lots of take and bake foods like chicken pot pies. And frozen vegetables that you can add to the pot pies. And there are lots of hot looking young women who shop there. I mean like serious, they probably all vote for the wrong political party, yet for food and eye candy Trader Joes has got it going on.
I’m totally down with their Beef Burritos and some of the wines.
Milk, butter and cheese if I’ve fallen behind on shopping (It’s amazing to me that now I shop at ~7 grocery stores for various items when back in the day one store would do.)
Our local store is very small and the “shoppers” run the gamut.
Those chocolate covered orange sticks are AMAZING can finish the whole bag in a day LOL..Trader Joes is cheaper than Whole Foods, except their large milk for whatever reason doesn’t last to the expiration date but hey that’s a whole other story
Best sugar free dark chocolate, Simply Lite. I travel 80 miles one way to Trader Joe’s to stock up on my favorite delicious chocolate.
I think the young women are there for the Three Buck Chuck. Which is actually pretty good, all things considered.
Young women like Trader Joe’s because they can’t afford to buy enough to go off their diets. And because no fat women shop there.
We lived in Silverlake back before it was trendy - the 1980s.
