A quick throat punch does it too but not too hard. Just hard enough to put them down on the ground. Technique beats strength most the time but not always. Having fast hands is a huge plus.

Yes. Fast hands. I had martial arts training many years ago. You have to get in close to do a throat punch and really know where to hit. A better technique is a palm heel heel strike to the jaw from underneath. Man, you can really screw someone up doing that.
