At a recent speech in South Africa, former President Barack Obama criticized wealth inequality, saying those who have more money should share their earnings with the less fortunate.
“Right now, I’m actually surprised by how much money I got,” Obama said of the more than $20 million he earned between 2005 and 2016.
Obama then chided wealthy individuals for excess, saying, “There’s only so much you can eat. There’s only so big a house you can have. There’s only so many nice trips you can take. I mean, it’s enough.”
“We’re going to have to worry about economics if we want to get democracy back on track,” Obama continued “We’re going to have to consider new ways of thinking about these problems, like a universal income, review of our workweek, how we retrain our young people, how we make everybody an entrepreneur at some level.”
Obama continued on income inequality, saying, “History shows that societies which tolerate vast differences in wealth feed resentments and reduce solidarity and actually grow more slowly. And when economic power is concentrated in the hands of the few, history also shows that political power is sure to follow and that dynamic eats away at democracy.” After the speech calling for rich people to get smaller houses, Obama traveled back to America and to his $8.1 million eight-bedroom, nine-and-a-half bathroom mansion in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the world.
Willing to bet that this $20 million is, as usual, far from the truth...More likely double that at least...

How do you make that much money when you are working full time as the POTUS? Kickbacks from Hillary? It should be investigated. Did Bush make that much while he was president? We all know that Bill and Hill were dead broke when they left the WH... how did BO get it?
And then he pocketed his $400,000 check and boarded his private plane and went home to his $8 million house. Must not quite be enough yet.
If we had an unbiased media who did not cover up democrat lawlessness and actually did their jobs, this ineligible, feckless, foreign born, marxist, muslim homosexual would have never gotten anywhere near power and would not have a mansion to go home to. I really hate the media.

Interesting. Exactly HOW did Obama “earn” that amount on his salary as a erstwhile “Senator” and POTUS? From what I understand about the pay scales between the two positions, those numbers simply do NOT add up.
And exactly who is building these big houses?
In my area of Florida, almost all new houses are built by immigrants.
[American-born tradesmen mainly do repair and remodeling work nowadays.]
They could have stayed in their own countries and built their own big houses on government provided/indigenously owned land.

Americans love their big houses.
However, most of the value of Obama’s $8 million DC property is in its land.
The builders build big houses because building lots in prime areas are expensive.
The building lots are expensive because the wealthy are willing to pay a lot not to have to spend two hours a day commuting.
Lovely big houses in prime London suburbs are regularly torn down to build bigger houses.
