The interactive map at the National Pit Bull Victim Awareness site has 11 deaths by pit bull listed on the interactive map here:

https://www.nationalpitbullvictimawareness.org/attacks/map-of-attacks-2018/

But they are missing the 91 YO man in Ardana (sp) California last week, and the Dogo Argentino breeder’s wife fatally mauled by the man’s Dogo (”Pure White”) in CA three weeks ago. (A Dogo Argentino is a related breed)

If you count it as twelve, which comes to at least one death every 16.6 days this year so far. If you count the “Death by Dogo” - and I do - it is one death every 15.3 days.

#2: "How many cases this year so far of pit mixes or pure killing family members of others?"

The word "mixed breed" or "pit bull mix" are code words to conceal the fact that the dog really is a pit bull. It's a favorite trick by animal shelters who are overloaded with pit bulls. I believe that pit bulls are less than 5% of the dog population, and yet account for almost half of the dogs in shelters because they are dangerous and unplaceable in homes.
