Someone needs to give the BBC a North Atlantic temperature map.
Yep...
The argument of nincompoops usually involves some claim that Israel “stole” land or “annexed” Palestine. Palestine was never a nation. That’s the point. There was never a single government associated with the sole governance of “Palestine.”
I do admit, it gets a little more complicated when folks understand the boarder changes associated with war in the region over the years. It is also complicated by the governance agreements that Israel has conceded in the past. Israel has certainly taken land after wars in which they were attacked. But so did Russia after WWII and many other countries. And this is what many of them hang their hat on in the intellectual argument about Israel.
It’s true. We’re all living in the Age of Megan.
I am your Queen.
Bow before me and then would someone please do my laundry?
Thanks!
Megan
I don't think it is premature, as it adds to precision when dating things.
The Holocene began, what 12,000 years ago?
At least back then when the Holocene began there certainly has been climate change, and subsequently even profound climate change in certain areas, since then.
Note: I do believe in Climate Change, as in, the climate changes, especially over long periods of time, that is, longer than a human being's lifetime. What I reject is Anthropomorphic Global Warming (AGW).
Climate changes happens naturally, and no proof exists that mankind's activities are causing rising temperatures.
The Left has co-opted "Climate Change" (when they really mean AGW) to further confuse people and claim that those not agreeing with them are anti-science.
Whenever a Leftists uses the term climate change, I ask them, "Don't you mean AGW?"
They say, no, or "what's that?"
I reply, "The climate could get real colder, so climate change covers that, too. So don't you really mean global warming caused by human activity?"
"Yes," they say.
Then I say, "So why aren't you using the right words to describe what you think is the problem? Climate change doesn't mean what you're trying to say."
7.5 billion humans presently living on Earth in the Holocene say:
Wasn’t that the Ottoman Turks????
Did they not also go into the Med and invade Cyrus, Greece, and southern Italy?
Maybe I’m thinking of another group...
So you’ve heard of a country called Mesopotamia?
A dramatic warming kicked us out of the last ice age?
Tell me more.
I’ve heard of a region called Mesopotamia...It was around what is now Iraq wasn’t it???
No, the Ottoman Turks appear in the 1300’s AD.
My point was that you seemed to be choking on the mention of Palestine but not on the mention of Mesopotamia.
I guess when I copied that line I went too far...
No-Its the same people that I’m thinking of.... They got around and were very prolific throughout the Med.
A lot of distinct Med. cultures can claim cultural/genetic traits back to that group.
It was very far in the distant past but since they were such wide ranging, nomadic, sea faring people, there is not a lot of hard archaeological data about them.
Besides, isn’t Palestine the area being treated as a nation by the Muslims, the leftists and the United Nations everyday today????
I don’t recall hearing Mesopotamia being mentioned anymore...
I see...Thanks...
I read that stuff a very long time ago... I may not recollect everything properly
