The head of a Harvard-linked research center is being ridiculed as “Sidewalk Susie” after a viral, cringe-worthy video caught the woman trying to order a mom and her biracial child to get away from her home and then condescendingly asking the family if they live in “affordable housing.”
The confrontation happened Saturday in Cambridge when Theresa Lund – executive director of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative – came out of her apartment to complain about noise allegedly being made by Alyson Laliberte’s toddler on the sidewalk outside the building.
Laliberte recorded the confrontation and posted it on Facebook.
“I’m sitting here because you’re preventing my children from sleeping. Would you like me to do that to your kids?” said Lund, wearing a purple T-shirt, running shorts and her hair tied back.
Laliberte answered: “Who is even watching your kids right now. Are you? Cause you’re not, you’re here with me and my kid.”
That’s when Lund, who is white, accused Laliberte of being poor.
“Are you one of the affordable units? Or are you one of the Harvard units?” Lund said in the video that’s been viewed more than 9,500 times by Monday night.
Laliberte kept her cool in the video – but then let Lund have it on Facebook.
“It was totally discriminating and racist of her.. or maybe it was because my daughter is biracial who knows,” Laliberte wrote on Facebook.
“I I have no idea who this woman is and the fact that she thinks she has some kind of authority over me is crazy!”

I don’t think racism was involved. I think it was liberal entitlement - that the rest of the world should conform to what the liberal wants.
Other kids playing outside make too much noise? Demand their casual noise be silenced. Then wonder why obesity rates are so high.
Why can’t people act like normal human beings anymore? All the woman had to do was apologize for her kid and move away from this woman’s apartment. Everybody wants to turn everything into a confrontation.
Did you read the wrong article or did I? Did one of us have a stroke? It was a toddler, with its mother, on a public sidewalk outside an apartment building. The Liberal Harvard Humanitarian (likely with huge salary) was disturbed and confronted the mother-with-said-child about their disturbing her. During the confrontation she exhibited a prejudice by accusing them of being "poor" and from "affordable housing".
Per her own values and teachings, she was expected to either close her window, give them a whole bunch of money or invite them to come live with her.... based on her liberal ideology.
The point of the article is that she is a liberal hypocrite (typical). She is a judgmental, angry, spiteful sycophant that preaches one thing but behaves the opposite. She is part of the liberal Elite Class that should not be inconvenienced or otherwise bothered by insignificant peons and peasants.

If the child had not been biracial, the mother of the supposedly noisy child would have been pilloried for being a social disturbance and accusing her moral superior (the Ivy Leaguer) of being a bad mother.
To the man/woman, they’re nothing but a gigantor pot of hypocritical, elitist scumbags that could care less about anyone or anything. Often wondered why so many, who seem to care so much, don’t live in any of the neighborhoods or want any of those that they care so much about, living in theirs.
