Congresswoman, Rep.Martha Roby, Republican, has easily defeated her opponent, Bobby Bright in a run-off CD special election this evening, garnering 66% of the vote!!! Another win for the Trumpies!!!

Saw it in Fox. We win either way. Given my druthers I’d go with the female/minority. Under those rules Herman Cain should be in the senate so should the Black Speaker in Ok. Instead we get the the red-headed stick. Not pretty enough. We should play their game when we have nothing to lose. Now Cain has to troll for guest appearances when the voters off Ga. could have given him a platform.

I almost skipped this race because I don’t like either one of them, but at the last minute voted Bright...hopefully to at least send a tiny message to Roby. She should be winning by much more so I know I wasn’t alone in this.

Trump backed her out of a sense of magnanimity.
She is a shrill harpie who abandoned him in the election and flouts her “independence”
Her opponent in the runoff is a reheated democrat so she shouldn’t have had too much trouble.
Both are slimy politicians, so I just stayed home for the runoff. I’ve met Bright, and didn’t want him in there. Don’t want Roby, because she’s anti-gun & anti-Trump. Can’t figure out why Trump endorsed her.
Only a house seat. The voters can throw her out next time. It’s not like a 6 year senate term.
No, you are right. And to be fair - I don’t know enough about her and the district to give more than the outsider’s account. I am sure she is a great woman, involved in her community, etc. They picked her for a reason.
It was a choice between mediocre and bad.
Roby painted herself into a political box opposing Trump in 2016. She turned in a shaky performance, at best, in the main primary held in June, 2018. The runoff primary election also looked like trouble for Roby...but she looked for and got the magical, political, life vest from POTUS, Trump’s endorsement...end result, massive victory!!! Go Trumpie, Go, MAGA!!! Ms. Roby...should send Trump a twitter, saying Thank you, Mr. President, Trump!!!

I did the same thing.
On the correct basis that if Bright failed to deliver then we vote for someone else in 2020.
I’m sorry to see Roby win. She should be made to answer for her NEVERTRUMP-ism like any other.
Because in 2010 she co-opted the TEA Party but never delivered.
She’s barely conservative and a NEVERTRUMP.
