I stopped being a Democrat during the Clinton impeachment hearing. I could not abide all the unreasoning emotionalism, baseless outrage, and untruthful exaggeration. My own Democrat father used to ridicule me in front of acquaintances for voting for GWB. While painful, it just reinforced my decision.
