They really need some diversity on this team and all but one, excluding the coach, has culturally appropriated a name.

The names look like the result of legal immigration to me.

Ya....any of these kids attend public school?

Any of these kid's parents NOT born in Asia?

"The 2018 U.S. International Mathematical Olympiad team is: Adam Ardeishar, Andrew Gu, Vincent Huang, James Lin, Michael Ren, and Mihir Singhal. Gu, Huang, and Lin are returning team members from 2017 and Lin earned a perfect score."

Winning!

And seriously, who cares what their background is. If they’re Americans, they’re Americans.

So? We all gotta come from some where. Most of the ancestry of the US came from Europe.

“Adam Ardeishar, Andrew Gu, Vincent Huang, James Lin, Michael Ren, and Mihir Singhal. Gu, Huang, and Lin”

***

Note there is no one in the line of Keyshawn, Latoya or Darrellius in that team (cough). GO USA!

My boys compete at elementary local state and national, placing in each. It is true that 90% of their competitors come from a non-American and non-European origins, most are probably first generation from India and China. It is a sad testament to our country’s approach to education and study habits. Competition is tough, requires more than common core math, and requires practice.

So....”the ancestry of the US came from Europe” don’t seem to have the same interest or focus on math....for a variety of reasons.

I don't care but I'm sure the SJWs will see a problem. Only one girl?!? No Hispanics or blacks?!? We got a problem here.

White people don't count.

My point is that the more recent American immigrants have better focus on STEM than those distracted by the indoctrination curricula of the left.

But, but, but, I thought our schools were the worst of the Western World (if you hear the Democrats talk about it).

Not too shabby. Congrats kids!

BTW, looks like a nice diverse group of Americans.

Proud of our (legal) melting pot!

And where are the girls - don’t tell me Larry Summers was right, and males really are better than females at mathematical reasoning.....
