To paraphrase a British commentator on this, the problems with Brexit per May were:
We’ll leave but we’ll stay in a trade union where you make the rules and we can’t vote. You can punish us and we have to obey. And that’s the starting bid.
In this EU trade deal, not only does anything shipped to the EU have to meet EU regulations, anything made for British domestic consumption or IMPORTED TO THE UK have to meet EU rules. US goods sold to the UK now have to meet EU standards.
It’s time for the Brits to decorate a few lampposts.
