Great TV. Dems seek to close House hearing with Strzok. The House investigation into Strzok's FBI behavior is in chaos. Dems trying every trick in the book to dismiss the hearing. Nadler and Lee are leading the circus. Words have no meaning according to Dems. Gowdey getting spooled up.
Gowdy was good. He laid into Strzok.
I’m not often impressed with Gowdy but he was very effective today.

What is it with DOJ and FBI smirking?
I know people here don’t always like Gowdy but I think he’s doing a good job.
Is anyone in jail (other than Manafort)? Gowdy is impotent. A kabuki theater playing swamp monster.

Strzok is getting angry and rattled. Dems running interference. More improper motions. They are demanding that Bannon be subpoenaed. More chaos, chair is trying to keep order. Dems moving to appeal his motions to appeal for other motion. We are seeing the Dems openly be criminals. Now a demand for a voice vote on a motion. Vote being taken. Pure obstruction by Dems.
Gowdy killed spygate in the crib. Damage done. Yeah he puts on a good show now. But shutting down spygate just when it was gaining steam is unforgivable.
He can definitely be a pit bull when he chooses....

Am looking at the FBI lawyers behind Strzok. Is it just me........or do they all look slimy (aka have dead eyes)?
By the Dem/Socialists actions in this hearing, I can almost guarantee Obama planned this whole thing and they are desperate to keep that covered up. Is that how it seems to you?
And does anyone know why the Republicans didn't subpoena the FBI agents that reportedly wanted to testify about this whole mess?
What an arrogant POS! If this guy is typical of the upper echelons of the FBI, we are in deep trouble. This guy should be behind bars! He won’t be! And he knows it.

If a work phone it is clear Strzok was stating his personal views on work device which to me shows a bias. I don’t see where late at night or off the cuff etc excuses he used come into play at all.
Strzok also commented People generally don’t see their words in texts as “contracts” - that is a huge problem in his mind and many in society. Words are extremely important when spoken ever and God doesn’t take them lightly either.
Strozk Struck Stroke (whatever the hell way he spells that ridiculous name!) nneds to be taken down. And the behavior of the Dims is more than enough reason for voters to get out and vote to make their numbers smaller! I could not possibly LOATHE any group of people more than those pustules!

The “smirk” is a tell, to borrow a poker term.
You have to understand, it is VERY hard to go alone, into a large place with lots of faces and voices, lots of lights and cameras, and feel like the whole world is putting you on trial. It probably feels like the whole thing is caving in right on down on you.
There is only one way to prepare for a situation like that and be able to weather the questioning and all the challenges and the confrontation; you need to be pre-programmed with an arrogant defiance.
But there is one HUGE problem with showing up to congress and SAYING things filled with contempt and arrogance; You will get destroyed in the court of public opinion, at the least, and possibly charged criminally because you have zero likability and the tiniest little slip you make will be exploited rather than protected.
So, but you need the armor of defiant wit that comes from feeling like you are smarter and better than your inquisitors. So, you are trained to say as little as possible, give no red meat, absolutely give no rope to hang yourself with, and deny deny deny. The only way to keep that up for hours under duress without weakening is to be convinced you are right.
So since you cant actually tell your inqisitors that you think you are better than them, you simply try to appear as though you are a cooperative and conscientious witness while you are thumbing your nose at them with your responses. But as cooperative as you try to make yourself appear, that tell shines through. You’re going to smirk when you’re telling yourself that they are stupid and you are in control. Human beings are not robots, they can’t hide every emotion all of the time.
The smirk = contempt
Gowdy’s questioning was theatrical as usual and I only wish that for once his theatrics would result in action against these thugs! However, when he asked about the “100MILLION to ONE” and the “We’ll stop him” and how the criminal stated that he was “trusting of the will of the People” (which we all knew was hogwash, WHY didn’t Gowdy bring up the “I’m at Walmart. I can SMELL the Trump voters” text.
Struck Stroke should be arrested by Federal marshals and taken to a holding cell to await charges on treason.
