My daughter was with me when this pic came on the t.v. and she said, “nice coat”. She is as far away from a fashion savvy person as one can be; but, even she recognized style when she saw it.

I was an extra in a film she starred in. Very beautiful.

The gals looks great! I don’t care if Mrs. Macron is an older woman - she looks fine to me.

I liked her roles a lot. Seemed to be a decent sort of person in her normal life too.
Channeling her? I took a pass on that sort of thing many moons ago.
“:^)
Now you, I fully support it. It looks good on you. Heh heh...

(Take a look out there folks. Can you see evidence of a Left Wing Hate Group, perhaps fascist too?)
To: DoughtyOne
OK. But I’m still keeping my, ‘Inner chuck Norris.’ He and Audrey get along just fine. ;)

Agreed!
And yes, Mickey Rooney was so far over the top he’s very hard to watch.

And just WHAT do YOU know about NYC in the late 1950s ( when the story was written ) and the crowd that Truman Capote ran with back then?
It isn't a "family" movie, it's NOT a "waste of time" at all, and almost all movies are NOT supposed to be anything at all except ENTERTAINMENT!
A movie can't be "self-absorbed" and you misused the word "vapid"! Banal or inane might have served you better; however, neither of those words is what that movie is.
To: miss marmelstein
That is what it is; however,a trench coat was NOT of any importance, in the film ( the LBD was/is !) and elania's is far too tight.
Your last sentence is 100% correct; sadly. :-(
To: KC_Lion
Am I the only one who objects to the comparison? Hepburn played a prostitute in the movie.
To: nopardons
Yes, her coat may be too tight - it’s a different style than Audrey’s. She may have pulled it tight because it was a windy day. Usually she drapes it over her shoulders.
My favorite scene in the movie is when she goes to visit Sally Tomatoes and gets dressed on screen, donning that beautiful LBD, sunglasses and the black picture hat. She finds her heels under the bed. Then she goes outside and whistles up a taxi.
