One of my college room mate’s wife had an abortion (his child) before they were married. I had the honor to go to his children’s weddings 30+ years later and she was still bawling from the one that she aborted. I think that I was one of the few at that wedding that had any idea that she had an abortion so long ago. I also do not speak from experience as you say, but I did observe the pain that existed even after 30 years in a very dear friend. In terms of this ‘comedienne’ and whether she is trying to self rationalize, I only hope so. Bad jokes will not erase the pain, and that is the truth that I spoke of that she will be forced to deal with. She will not be able to run away from herself.
