If Roe vs Wade is overturned as it should be, abortion will in all likelyhood remain legal in most states (a few states might make it illegal I suppose). But.......the voters in the majority of states that allow it will also likely put restrictions on it.....such as one can only have a legal abortion the first trimester.
Other things that might occur is that the government will no longer pay for abortions. This will mean money will have to be privately raised.....which it will be. Hollywood can do telethons and everything to raise abortion money. Doris can throw some coin into the collection tray as well.
Let’s face it. It’s a difficult topic. There are no perfect answers and many of us on some level feel that the mother deserves say in what happens to her body. No mater what, whatever compromise emerges (such as the one I mentioned above), no one will be happy. But, the voters will have spoken and a clear legal position on abortion will emerge. And, that’s how our country works.
It's not difficult at all. Life begins at the moment of conception. At that instant a new human begins life. If it was not a human life then why would you need an abortion?
I also love the women's rights argument. When they throw women's rights out I always like to ask what if the baby is female? That unborn baby is a very young women, what about her rights?
State your position on abortion.
Yes, indeed. I would amend that to,
I'd even say
---now hear me out --- because the choice has to happen before the life begins. "Choice" is a pre-conception right.
As my old neighbor on George Avenue in DC used to say,
`
Besides, once you're pregnant, it is impossible to choose not to have a baby. The baby is there. Your only possible "choice" at that point, is to have a live baby or a dead one. And to get your baby dead, you've got to kill it in cold blood.
This is a choice no person on earth has the right to make. That is murder. That is forbidden: an exceptionless norm.
