This guy is followed by Cernovich, Posobiec and James Woods. I know at least Cern and Posobiec are pretty well connected with the Trump Admin, so I think this is somewhat solid. We'll know for sure in 24h.

And this is the formula to find posts by a particular freeper:

http://freerepublic.com/tag/by:mears/index?tab=comments;brevity=full;options=no-change

in cases where you can’t find the freeper on the forum at that time. I used your name. Obviously one can substitute any freeper’s name.

That is darned little record thank you—I have no interest in seeing someone we know so little about in terms of judicial rulings as a USSC Justice.

The only reason she is being considered for the position at this point is because she is a woman. And that is a classic recipe for thinking you’re getting one judicial mind, but getting another.

"She was not talking about the merits of the ACA she was talking about John Roberts reasoning. Clearly she is to the right of Roberts. Which is good."

Agree good sign but Roberts himself had all the good signs.

We have to just trust the President. I hope he has real information on his list of potential nominees. I also hope he exposes this BS that the nominee can't be asked any real relevant questions during the confirmation.

I’ve been looking around and have not found anything that backs up this claim that Trump make up his mind and it’s Barrett. We will just have to wait. I’d bet dollars to donuts that all the airports near all the could be nominees are being closely watched. Only one of the four lives in DC. So if it is not him then tomorrow morning someone will be taking a flight to DC and then we will know. And if no one takes a flight it’s the guy that lives in DC. We should have a good idea by 3pm tomorrow.

Not true, she has a stellar resume.

A “resume” is not what SC picks are selected for. It is their judicial record, and she has close to nothing on that count.

The alleged war on women, as framed by feminists, is entirely about abortion.

She clerked at the circuit court level and then at the Supreme Court for Scalia. Next she was a practicing lawyer in DC for a respected law firm. After that she taught Law at Notre Dame where she authored many papers. She has a paper trail. Her views are well known. She is highly qualified to be on the Supreme Court. She is exactly the type of judge Trump said he would but on the court.

Her views are not out there on the record.

She is known for her pro-choice positions. She doesn’t have a judicial record to speak of. And that is not what SC Justices have been nominated without, to speak of, for decades.

Also, she is younger than any nominee in decades. What’s the rush? She should spend some years in the plural as a judge before being nominated.

“What do you have against Catholics”

Not a damned thing. But Five of the current court are Catholic, three are Jews, and we just now with Gorsuch have an Episcopal convert from Catholicism. By far the biggest racial-religious group in the country are white Protestants. This country was founded, in fact, as a white Protestant nation. The court has a long way to go to reflect that reality again, and until it does, it’ll be at odds with the majority.

“...Adopting foreign could be a sign that she has a lib slant as well...”

Agree. Think Angelina Jolie. Also to consider: both of these parents have high powered attorney jobs - are the children being farmed out to be raised by illegal immigrant nannies? The phenomenon of the nanny raising the children in the wealthy and elite zip code homes is happening everywhere now, not just in the big coastal liberal cities. Liberal elitist women are on the front lines of this dynamic. (I am a grandmother, not a misogynist male).

I have heard many stories like this. They make it incredibly hard to adopt domestically. A lot of kids are available from horribly abusive or drug-addled mothers: true, these kids NEED homes, but often they're very emotionally damaged, cannot bond with you, their behavior is erratic and they present a real risk to your other children.

And since my husband and I had exceeded the age limit set by most agencies or adoptors (we were 40 and 41) our only option, really, was that Russian orphanage.

You may be on the wrong forum. You are far too judgemental without having any facts. Exactly the wrong temperament for the USSC.

because the red tape to do so in the US is so deep

I can vouch for the truth of this. Buddy of mine adopted, the hoops he needed to jump through were ridiculous. And for years, they had the constant looming spectre that the adoption could be reversed at any time, for just about any whim. I think that's passed, now, but I know they had to walk on eggshells for years.

Favorite story has to do with the kid's bedroom window. Buddy got gigged on some sort of adoption inspection because the window only opened 19", and needed to open 20. Never mind that the window opened to a 25' drop, down to a concrete patio.

My friend said to the inspector, "You're going to ding me because the window doesn't open quite wide enough, but it's perfectly fine for my kid to fall to his death?" Yup. See here, need to check this box. Says 20" Window Opening. No check, no adoption.

Buddy got a safety ladder - he was planning on it anyway - and the local fire dept to sign off on a letter stating that the 19" window opening was adequate. Bureaucrat checked the correct box, and the adoption was off and running again.

You are fortunate. The “conservative” Lutherans (LCMS) brought in a group called UPBRING to take over the Lutheran school. This group was really the Lutheran Social Services they changed their name. on voting day for the church body to hand over the school to this group a long established Lutheran School I grabbed the mic and blew their cover. I let the congregants know that this was a name change to hide the fact that many towns and cities esp. in the north were destroyed by all of these migrants and immigrants. Have not been back.
in this article you can see UPBRING (https://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/07/08/stormy-daniels-strips-in-texas-no-sign-of-visit-to-border-children/) continuing as fed contractor-their conservative and aging parishoners are kept in the dark. CEO’s of LIRS collecting 6 figure salaries.
