An African-American millionaire and his Manhattan consultant son were victims of a July 4th hate crime in their hotel room during a Florida vacation.
A racist creep apparently snuck into Frank and Michael Davis’ room at the upscale Art Ovation Hotel in Sarasota and left a 2-by-5 post-it note reading, “You’re a N—-R.”
After returning to their sixth-floor room from breakfast, the Davises found the sickening message placed on a globe-shaped bedside lamp.
“I was stone cold for 30 to 40 seconds when I read the note,” Michael Davis, 27, a consultant for a financial firm, told The Post.
“My first thought was, what did we do to deserve this? We tipped well, we were beyond nice to all the staff.”
Fearing for their lives, Michael and his parents called the police and the front desk. The Sarasota Police Department responded, but no suspects have been named.
The incident was especially wounding in light of Frank Davis’ lifelong efforts to promote diversity. The business executive has donated $5 million to his alma mater, Bucknell University, for a new building and for minority recruitment.

You are also correct and I believe, the staff rolled their eyes up, when this whole fantasy store came up. The proper move my management is get rid of them, point them to the direction of the cops, and promise to “look into free comps” but promise nothing. I think they were looking for free comps too.
Well that can’t get this race finished as they keep having
wrecks. Overtime and maybe this time they’ll get it over.

Here in our suburban town there was a “hate” note left on the car of some muslim gal. Photo of her in her muslim garb and the note.
In block writing that looked like a 10 year old scrawwled it.

Underneath that there was more, in the same pen, but with beautifully drawn and flowing arabic!
I am not sure, but there are plausible scenarios I could imagine: Maybe there was a do not disturb hanger on door. Maybe they already talked to the hotel and were able to eliminate that possibility but the reporter was not aware of that. Until we know we can only speculate.
Of course it is a hoax. There are surveillance cameras everywhere in hotels. If someone had sneaked into their room, it would be on tape. Idiots.

Yes, we can only speculate. But from the record of these events over the last couple of decades, the odds are that the “victim” was the perpetrator.
