Very well. I look forward to reasoned opinions.
Do please note that I am not anti-dog; I have owned, cared for, or lived with at various times Labradors of all colors (black ones are generally the brightest and have a sense of humor) miniature schnauzers, mini poodles, Old English Sheepdogs, Newfoundlands, Papillions, Great Danes and Dachshunds (shared offices with these two) Shi Tzus, Australian Shepherds, Chihuahuas, and various mutts and mixed breeds, and one Irish Wolfhound.
I also visited friends’ houses where pit bulls lived; a notable dog tore apart completely and partially consumed the interior of a friend’s car - I believe it was a Sunfire.
About ten years ago, the pit bulls again came onto my personal radar, but it was not until the last four years that the maulings, deaths, and attacks rose to the top of my attention, and became a research priority. When I began to really look into the matter, I found the numbers. At that point, I began posting.
Thank you for your interest.
Yeah, okay, but I don’t see the relevance to politics. FR is basically a politics and religion forum. Not a dog bite forum. Now if something happened with a dog and it made the front page then it would be relevant current events.
I see you use these topics to post with: Business/Economy; Health/Medicine; History; Pets/Animals.
Care to tell me what dog bites have to do with Business/Economy; Health/Medicine; History in relation to politics or religion?
These come across as a self-serving anti-dog activist threads to me. Maybe I’m wrong or maybe you donate a thousand dollars a month to have the privilege of posting these. I could just ignore them but as a dog-lover; it goes against the grain to allow them without calling you on them when I see them.
You can say you like dogs but it doesn’t come across that way. All I see is you hate dogs and are afraid of them. You aren’t alone either. More than a few agree with you but again; what does it have to do with politics or religion? I see the occasional outlier threads about off the wall subjects but this one has been consistent.
Just remember, for every one person who dislikes dogs and fear them, there are likely 10 who love them unconditionally with no fear at all. The rest couldn’t care less one way or the other.
From my point of view you are the boy that cried ‘wolf’ far too many times. What is it you hope to accomplish here that you haven’t already; many many times? Do you think this subject needs to be wash, rinsed, then repeated over and over again? To what end? Everyone already knows certain breeds are potentially dangerous. What more can you possibly hope to accomplish by repeating the same thing over and over and over and over and over again?
