“Most folks know of at least one case where the pet owner(s) loved the pet(s) more than their own children. Sadly, I am one that knows of such a family. “

Thank you for giving an example of one of the reasons for this article.

While not exclusive to any given breed, this particular phenomenon appears to be almost a “given” with pit bull owners and/or advocates.

In addition, while this has been mostly confined to my own observations at present, I find it so pervasive that I no longer completely trust even long-term friends if they acquire a dog of this type.

As I have stated before, I believe that this is a spiritual issue at the core, and is, frankly, a demonic problem.

I, too, find the owners weird and pathological and dangerous. They LIKE marching a dog down Main Street who people shy away from. They allow the dogs to stick their heads into baby strollers! 😫 NONE of these owners are ready to control these dogs, because they've bought into the delusion that Precious could never revert to breeding and latch their strong jaws on a child's face.

There are plenty of stats that show pits can be deadly, but for some reason there is no publicity. It's like when Muslims run over a sidewalk of pedestrians, but we're not allowed to speculate as to motive. Rescue shelters are always ready to unload a pit on someone naive who wants to "virtue signal" what a hero he is. They say things like "he'll just lick you to death".
