SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A parent is accusing a South Florida teacher of bullying her 5-year-old son in class.
Kandy Escotto said she originally felt like something was wrong after her son Aaron made troubling comments about his teacher at Banyan Elementary School.
He told me, Mommy, Im a bad boy,' Escotto said. I said, Aaron, why do you say that? and then he said, Thats what my teacher tells me when I dont do my work, so thats when I knew something was happening.
Escotto said she voiced her concerns to school officials numerous times, but she kept being ignored. She then decided to place a recording device in her sons backpack and recorded four days worth of Aarons classes.

Teachers unions.
I agree
The Kindergartners in my wife’s class have to use COMPUTERS for standardized tests.
What?? This is not a private phone conversation. This is in a PUBLIC school classroom with other witnesses (the other students).
“The Kindergartners in my wifes class have to use COMPUTERS for standardized tests.”
That and bubble sheets...that is teachers being lazy ass! In the old days they graded papers, now they so lazy!
And if you saw the footage from the Veritas Videos by James O’Keefe, you would understand even better why teacher unions don’t want them.
In yeshiva they did not spare the rod!
When I was in third grade, I was caught (there’s a surprise) by my teacher trying to forge my father’s signature on my report card, which was awful.
I was made to stand in front of the class while the teacher explained to the class how I tried to forge a signature, and she lectured the class about forgery, the punishment for forgery, and how if I were an adult, I would be locked up behind bars.
It sounds harsh, but I admit, I never tried to forge anything again after that.
The whole thing seems weird to me...the teacher treating a kindergartner that way, using the tests they were using...what the heck goes on in Kindergarten these days?
Don’t kids even get a chance to be kids anymore?
Please cite the law
This is about bugging
David, is that you?
I remember, in first grade, Catholic school, one little guy named David got in trouble almost every day. :-)
“Massachusetts’s wiretapping law often referred to is a “two-party consent” law. More accurately, Massachusetts makes it a crime to secretly record a conversation, whether the conversation is in-person or taking place by telephone or another medium. See Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 272, § 99.”
I listened to this tape, and I’m with the kid. I can’t figure out what this teacher wants for the life of me.
Ah, I see.
The union sees to it that teachers stick together and cover for eack other. This woman has bought her kid years of “Hell School” for dissing a educator.
Usually this sort of thing is not the individual teacher’s decision. It is all mandated by the district.
“Teacher of the Year” thought she was bulletproof. At least this wasn’t racist, judging by her accent, other than self-loathing.
School is a public place.
Further the principal demanded she provide proof.
Further, almost all two-party recording states make exceptions for people to record conversations if they believe illegal activity is going on.
And that is exactly what she as doing. gathering evidence of illegal treatment of her son for a principal that demanded evidence it ws occurring.
Further the teacher denied doing it when she did do it, and the evidence confirms it, and that the teacher is a liar and has destroyed her credibility to be trusted.
