I'm hanging on there. Life would be better if these idiot politicians would stop screwing around with Pain Meds. Got a TXT from the Pharmacy the other day that a Rx was ready ?! I didn't have anything so I call and they tell Me it's NARCAN !?! Sent in by the Pain Doc/Clinic. Appears that now if One takes any Opioid they MAKE it mandatory, Therefore they classify everyone is a junkie...

Those idiotsticks can't even balance a fricking Checkbook but are in office anyway.

We got an elderly friend who “accidentally” took a double dose of his Rx meds, a timed secure dispenser from E-Pill.Com that holds a months worth of “dangerous” prescription meds. It alarms and you take your pills.. Zero chance of doubling by accident due dementia etc .... but if ya save yer med dose for two or more days ya can OD if you just want to hurt yourself. It’s our attempt to keep our friend safer.....

NARCAN is the big pharma version of the warnings engraved on firearms these days IMO . As well another way to MAKE you or your insurance buy something from them. If ya have a bunch of Rx meds that can hurt ya and forgetful then this NARCAN is nothing more than a fire extinguisher or epi-pen solution per my take....

My thoughts on the matter ....

I can see some needs for this, I don’t like having it forced upon Us. I’m already running a very tight budget as is.

Understand ...... and they understand you have budget left and they will always try to get it from ya...... life !

I just lay out in the sun on a rock like a lizard for a while each day ...... calm , warm, free vitamin D. Drinking nothing but distilled water I make myself and 3 fingers of good bourbon before bed.,,,, 8 solid hours of sleep. I have two medications in my medicine cabinet .......Bayer Extra Strength Back and Body Aspirn and a OTC 24 hr Allergy pill from CVS for hay fever season. I’m lucky / blessed but have seen doctors just shove drugs down peoples throats to the point they’re not hungry because they took so many pills. Overmedicated is a real threat IMO.

Take time for yourself .... get you Doc to review your list of meds. Good chance simple stuff such as a water pill is why one may suffer from dehydration woes ....

Folks:

Thank you all for your great recommendations!

Almost everyone here had a fantastic product that they've used. As I go through these items and compare them to what I've seen elsewhere, it looks like the following brands would be good options for what I'd need:

BoltPower (Post #24)

GoalZero (multiple posts)

Hummer (Post #29)

Jump-N-Carry (Post #20)

Viking (Post #37)

Yeti (multiple posts)

Some of you recommended generators ... which look good and might be usable for other applications, but definitely are too large and expensive -- and lack easy portability -- for what I'm doing here. I need something that can be recharged, not something that needs fuel.

Thank you all! Freepers are the best source of anecdotal information for this sort of thing!
