And so, in a Thursday evening debate, the state’s agricultural commissioner used some rhetorical sleight of hand to make it sound as if he had never been a Trump critic.
Fox News’ Bret Baier — who hosted the nationally televised debate with colleague Martha MacCallum — noted that in 2016, Putnam used the words “vile,” “obscene,” and “dishonorable” to describe then-candidate Trump’s behavior. Does Trump, Baier asked Putnam, “deserve some of the blame, as his critics suggest, in setting the tone” at a time of political incivility?

Ron DeSantis is running also, has the endorsement of Trump, and voted for the Goodlatte bill. Strong 2A supporter and red blooded Patriot. He also has only about 1/3 the cash of Putnam.

As a UF graudate he was likely part of the uniparty political club there and went on to become a Bush league politician.
I think I know w hat it is: Politicians are only happy to ‘pile on’ when they don’t think it will cost them. It’s not like they’re sticking their neck out. When they fond out they were wrong they expose what cowards they are.
Desantis is a good guy. I’ll probably vote for him out of principle in the primary. But he doesn’t have the name recognition to beat Gwen Graham. Putnam isn’t perfect, but he’s a hall of alot better than a Democrat in the Governor’s mansion. She was my congresswoman and ran as a Conservative Democrat. Now she’s gone full libtard, especially on the 2A. Putnam is good on the 2A. That’s good enough for me.

They all weasel on the issues in the end anyway but the ones who trashed Trump probably never changed their minds, they only adjusted the words coming out of their mouth to look good with President Trump.
They all will come out with the long knives if they think the timing is right.
President Trump works every day to keep his popularity up so they don’t feel tempted to stab him in the back.
And sadly, he endorses the traitors like Mitt Romney to mollify them but to what end.

Honestly, this Gwen Graham you speak of is new to me. I’m in the Jacksonville area and never heard her name before and haven’t seen any ads or flyers for her. Where is she so popular? Not to contradict you but, just sayin’...
I never used words like that, but I had my suspicions about Primary Candidate Donald. Putnam could echo what a lot of us now say, that we were wrong, voted nevertheless for him in the general election, and are ecstatic now that we did. Better, however, that he exposes himself as a liar.

I didn’t think much of trump during the campaign, but I voted for him and am damn glad that he is POTUS now.

Who is Gwen Graham? Is she a Republican?
Graham has no recognition outside the Capitol. Maybe she’s known up there, but here in central Florida she’s nothing. There is zero chance of her winning against either DeSantis or Putnam. None, nada, zip.

Hannity is live campaigning for DeSantis. Trump will, too, mark my words.
