Yeah I have a huge heart for those dogs...but you don’t “street rescue” a 7 year old pit. As babies, if you treat them right....they’ll protect you against the devil himself. Treat em wrong, they’ll eat your face.
Sad.
Damn good looking dogs. Too many damned stupid people.

“Too many damned stupid people.”
I see this particular comment all over the place, it’s as cliched as it is meaningless.

I don’t find them good looking at all. Some of them even look like hell hounds, I am not kidding lol. Even if they weren’t known to be vicious I would still think they are not cute dogs (all puppies are of course.)

"...pit bull that had been rescued off the street by its owner four years ago."
"6- or 7-year-old" It would have been around 2 or 3 when taken in by the owner. Would the outcome have been better, if she'd picked it up as a small puppy? Our peers (neighbors and fellow Americans) will eventually be the judges of that and other questions. Such things tend to take time, and there will be differences in opinion between regions and states.
Pit bull owners are much safer from prosecution and lawsuits in states like Colorado and California, even after incidents. In other states, owners can much more easily lose their properties and/or freedom after incidents. Laws and policies vary quite a bit from state to state.
