But giant inflatable unicorns are proving less popular with coastguards after a woman was blown out to sea and had to be rescued from one of the worlds busiest shipping lanes.
She was one of 15 people rescued along the south coast by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency in just one evening after their inflatables veered off course. A pink flamingo and a swan were also involved.

I remember a story a couple years ago. Several hundred people got arrested riding inner tubes down the St. Clair River in Michigan. They got arrested for accidentally crossing into Canada, or maybe Canada into the US. I forget.
The mighty Lake Huron necks down to about 1 mile wide for a few miles to form the St. Clair River. Needless to say, the current is pretty healthy. Lots of boat and freighter traffic.
When I was a kid, I was floating on an air mattress on the Canadian side. When I paddled back to shore, it was a long walk back.
There are crazies who actually go over Niagara Falls voluntarily, but... it’s not due to some flakey attachment to a child’s inflatable unicorn...
There’s crazy, and then there’s stupid. And way beyond either one, is a moron who doesn’t take the ocean seriously.
